Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour1/2 cup thinly sliced green onions2 teaspoons sugar2 teaspoons baking powder1/2 teaspoon salt1/4 teaspoon baking soda6 tablespoons cold butter, cubed1 egg3/4 cup buttermilk

Preparation

In a small bowl, combine the flour, onions, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Combine egg and buttermilk; stir into crumb mixture just until moistened.

Drop by 1/4 cupfuls 2 in. apart onto a greased baking sheet. Bake at 400° for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
