Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, softened1 cup sugar1 large egg1 cup all-purpose flour1/2 teaspoon baking soda1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon2-1/2 cups chopped peeled tart apples1/2 cup chopped pecans

Preparation

In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg. Combine the flour, baking soda and cinnamon; gradually beat into the creamed mixture. Fold in apples and pecans.

Transfer to a greased 9-in. square baking pan. Bake at 350° for 32-38 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.
