Ingredients

2/3 cup butter, softened3/4 cup packed brown sugar1/2 cup molasses1 large egg2 cups all-purpose flour2 teaspoons ground ginger1/2 teaspoon baking soda1/2 teaspoon baking powder1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon1/4 teaspoon salt1/2 cup raisinsORANGE GLAZE:1 cup confectioners’ sugar5 teaspoons orange juice4 teaspoons butter, melted3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract1/2 teaspoon grated orange zest

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in molasses and egg. Combine flour, ginger, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon and salt; add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in raisins.

Spread into a greased 13x9-in. baking pan. Bake 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Combine glaze ingredients until smooth; spread over warm bars. Cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into bars.
