Ingredients

2 c. Heinz Ketchup

2 c. strong black coffee

1 c. white vinegar

1 c. brown sugar

garlic powder

salt

Pepper

Hot pepper sauce

2 rack baby back ribs

garlic powder

salt

Black pepper

12 oz. dark beer

Preparation

Step 1Prepare BBQ sauce: Combine all ingredients and cook BBQ sauce slowly over a low flame for a few hours (stirring often) until it reaches the desired thickness. This can be made a few days in advance.Step 2Prepare ribs: Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Rinse the ribs with cold water and pat them dry. Rub ribs with garlic powder, salt, pepper and any other desired spices to taste.Step 3Place ribs in a pan and add beer. Move pan to oven and cook, covered, for 3 hours. (This part can be done up to one day in advance.)Step 4On game day: Preheat grill to a high flame and grill the ribs for a couple of minutes on each side. Add BBQ sauce to each side and cook the ribs for another minute on each side (this is the first time you are using the BBQ sauce). Serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
