Ingredients

3 tablespoons butter, softened1/2 teaspoon garlic powder1/4 teaspoon dried thymeGARLIC BREAD:4 hoagie buns, split1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheeseVEGETABLES:3 cups fresh broccoli florets3 cups fresh cauliflowerets1 to 2 tablespoons water1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Preparation

In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter, garlic powder and thyme. Cover and microwave on high until butter is melted. Yield: 3 tablespoons.

For garlic bread: Brush butter topping over cut sides of buns. Place cut side down on grill. Grill, uncovered, over medium heat for 1 minute or until toasted. Sprinkle with cheese. Yield: 4 servings.

For vegetables: Place broccoli, cauliflower and water in a 2-qt. microwave-safe dish. Cover and microwave on high for 5-7 minutes or until crisp-tender; drain. Drizzle with butter topping; toss to coat. Sprinkle with cheese. Cook, uncovered, on high for 30 seconds or until heated through.
