Ingredients

1 can (15 ounces) solid-pack pumpkin3/4 cup sugar1 teaspoon vanilla extract1/2 teaspoon salt1/4 teaspoon ground ginger1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves2 quarts vanilla ice cream, softened1 cup finely chopped walnuts

Preparation

In a large bowl, combine pumpkin, sugar, vanilla, salt, ginger, nutmeg and cloves. Fold in ice cream. Transfer to a greased 13x9-in. dish. Sprinkle with walnuts.

Cover and freeze overnight. Remove from the freezer 10 minutes before serving. Cut into squares.
