Ingredients

2 tablespoons brown sugar2 tablespoons butter1 tablespoon lemon juice2 teaspoons soy sauce1 teaspoon minced garlic1/2 teaspoon pepper4 halibut steaks (5 ounces each)

Preparation

In a small saucepan, combine the first six ingredients. Cook and stir until butter is melted. Remove from the heat; set aside.

Grill halibut on greased rack, covered, over medium heat or broil 4 in. from the heat until fish just begins to flake easily with a fork, basting frequently with butter mixture, 4-5 minutes on each side.
